DRAWING: A personal present from a friend to another about her birth on the living room floor with guidance from her husband, midwife and the parrot.

Lots of people contact me to make personal drawings for family and friends. I usually ask them to write down personal details or a funny history about the person. Write me an email if you want to know more!

Exhibiton in Newspaper Cartoonists House, Drøbak

The exhibiton opens Saturday 18th of April 2009, at 2 o´clock. Showing a little selection of prints and original drawings from Dagbladet through the last few years, all for sale. I have called the exhibtion for "Crocked lines - a play with words and drawing". Welcome!

Dagbladet with new layout

From this week Dagbladet is coming with a new layout. I was asked to do something a bit different - which is going to be work in process. This is the first drawing this Sunday, to text of Alex Rosén.

Solo Exhibtion in Avistegnernes Hus, Drøbak

I have been invited to have an another solo exhibition in Avistegnernes Hus in Drøbak. The opening dates are at the end of May. I will show editorial illustration from the newspaper Dagbladet and Dagbladet Sunday Magazine.

Grafill Illustration arranged a seminar weekend with focus on illustration and the future. Two whole days just talking about illustration. Great! We had invited brilliant Steven Appleby to be our main "star". I love his work! He does it all! Draw, think, animate and write. He´s view of the world is brilliant in the world he call "The World of Steven Appleby". It was really nice to meet him!

"Hearts": Christmas Exhibition at Uldlageret

This years theme at Kunstnerverkstedene Uldlageret´s Christmas Exhibition was hearts. Six exhibited smaller pictures and objects based on the subject, lot´s of nice response and some sold pictures as well.
The exhibion was held over 3 weekends before Christmas.

The Yearly Bookfair in Lillestrøm, Norway

Grafill Illustration was responisible for the stand at the yearly bookfair in Lillestrøm. We had invited all Grafill´s illustrator to send in their interpretation of the poem Steinbrytervisa written by Henrik Wergeland.
52 illustrators send inn a illustrations each and all of them was printed on to postcards.
The stand got lots of really positive response! So we are repeating the success in November. This time with a new illustration catalogue of all the Norwegian illustrators.

IMU 2008: The Illustrators of Grafill Members Exhibition

Place: DogA, Design- and Architecture Center, Oslo
DATE: 11.12.-21.12.2008
For the second year we (Grafill Illustration) arranged an exhibtion for all the illustration members in Grafill. This year it was send in 150 pieces of work, all was showed at DogA, Oslo. 100 people showed up for the opening and we had a very nice evening! Talking about techniques, comissions, ideas…

Grafill Illustrasjon gjentar fjorårets suksess med en ny medlemsutstilling på DogA.
Utstillingen viser både publiserte og upubliserte arbeider, og illustratører fra hele Norge stiller ut. I år har responsen vært enorm og i skrivende stund er det nesten 60 illustratører som skal være med - med to arbeider hver. IMU er en salgsutstilling med illustrasjoner fra forskjellige bruksområder, alt fra barnebøker til avistegning og animasjon. Vernissage torsdag 11. desember kl 19.00.

Christmas Exhibition in The Old Blacksmith´s House

Seven artist from the council I live in, was invited to be part of the first exhibiton ever in the old house of the local blacksmith. The building is protected against change because of it´s old history. Everything was very dirty, but had lots of characters. The exhibition was well visited by the local people just out for a Sunday walk.

WORKSHOP:
As a part of the "advent calender" I arranged a drawing workshop for children and everyone else interested. It was set in a tent/lavvo in Mjøndalen´s shooping area. I was dresssed up as Mother Christmas. Lot´s of really nice drawings, and set on a nice Winters day! Thanks to everyone poping by!

The arrangers was the local council Nedre Eiker kommune.
